“Although I have been prevented by outward circumstances from observing a strictly vegetarian diet, I have long been an adherent to the cause in principle. Besides agreeing with the aims of vegetarianism for aesthetic and moral reasons, it is my view that a vegetarian manner of living by its purely physical effect on the human temperament would most beneficially influence the lot of mankind.”
I have been quite slack but I will probably spend tomorrow night re updating the last two quotes of the day. See you then.
I learnt today that the ever present Flynn is thinking about running for the head of the vegetarian society at UQ. I think he has just given up on Uni politics and instead wants to get elected elsewhere. UQ student elections are on at the moment and the ever ghastly Fresh has pulled the wool over peoples eyes yet again and convinced everyone they did nothing wrong. I will drink hard on the day they are finally taken out of power and reformation begins. I still have folders full of information about the elections.
I think Flynn would make a good leader, he is concise in his ideals and resolute to the last. As long as he has confidence in his message I am sure he has the ability to do so. He will make a fantastic lawyer or scientist whenever he decides what he wants to do.
It was a couple of hours before her gig, and we had decided to meet up in Birdees. In a rush from the Valley train station, I ran straight past a homeless woman who was begging for change. She tried to stop me but I brushed past and declared that I had no coins. This was a lie and put a sour on my mood as I entered the pub. It was also a lie I shared with Becky in the hope that she would find it funny. She didn’t but that is ok.
